Ten years ago, Reiki and reflexology entered Kim’s life simultaneously and that’s how she structures her practice. Her sessions harmoniously blend the thumb-walking technique of reflexology on the ears, hands and feet to stimulate each organ and system in the body with the gentle healing energy of Reiki to relax and replenish body and soul.

Kim is certified in reflexology through the Baltimore School of Reflexology and is one of less than 20 in Maryland to be nationally certified through the American Reflexology Certification Board. Kim studied Usui and Karuna Reiki with Bonnie Tarantino and Kundalini Reiki with Angel Kangalee.

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also can promote healing. Karuna is Sanskrit for “compassionate action” and centers around diminishing suffering of others. Kundalini Reiki focuses on clearing energy blockages. The blending of the different energies typically creates a wonderful sense of peace and tranquility.

She is currently President of the Maryland Reflexology Association and has been a Maryland delegate to the Reflexology Association of America (RAA) since 2006. Kim is the co-chair of RAA’s Delegate Assembly, which meets once a month to discuss topics from across the United States. She attends the RAA National Conference, where reflexologists from around the world lecture and teach. Kim is committed to learning new practices to help her clients.

Reiki and reflexology are very complementary techniques. Each is a stand-alone modality and Kim can give sessions of either type. However, together they produce deep relaxation and Kim believes that is where the body can begin to heal and come back into balance.

Give it a try! It just may be the best hour of your week!
